The Open competition saw 46,184 entries this year, from across 160 countries.  Judged by WPO, Sony and Damien Demolder of Amateur Photographer Magazine, the Open competition seeks the true enthusiast and lover of photography.

The competition is designed so as to provide committed amateur photographers with the chance to have their work awarded as well as exhibited internationally, providing critical feedback of their work and the chance to be discovered.

A single, brilliant snapshot, is all it takes to capture the attention of our jury. Technical ability and composition also win points of course, though above all, they must have that wow factor and stand alone.
