The Focus Award

The Focus Award is dedicated to using photography in order to raise awareness on a particular global issue.  Each year, The World Photography Organisation selects a new collaboration with an international charity for this special programme and creates a bespoke campaign, which runs throughout the entire year.

Our current Focus Award is running in partnership with UNICEF and is supported by the Sony EYE SEE programme.

On November 20th 2009, we launched this very special Focus Award to mark the 20th anniversary for the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

This programme has welcomed our very own Academy members, such as Bruce Davidson, Mary Ellen Mark, Jonathan Torgovnik, Carol Allen Storey and renowned humanitarian Reza, to work with UNICEF Ambassadors including Ewan McGregor and David Beckham.

The campaign continues…  find out more and pledge your own image of support today.
