In Fine Art, Still life photography demands a highly refined sense of lighting, coupled with compositional skills such as painters possess. The still life photographer makes pictures rather than takes them.  A fine art Still life photography may depict a classic scene such as a fruit bowl, or composed objects such as a vase with flowers, a empty bed, the torso of a human body, a candle lit dinner table or any other objects or products.  The key distinction between the Fine Art Still life and Commercial Still life is that in Fine Art the photographs are intended as a piece of art, rather than for the sale of promotion of a product.
