Led by photography industry expert Lewis Blackwell, this daylong seminar will cover some of the most pertinent topics of the business.
Through a series of keynote panel discussions, leading experts working in the vast field of photography will explore key areas of the industry. Confirmed experts are noted below each panel description.
The evening will conclude with a networking cocktail at the Somerset House Embankment Galleries, amongst the 2012 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibitions. This is an opportunity for the audience members to meet many of the experts as well as fellow attendees.

While focus might seem key to success, often it pays to spread your bets. How do you excel and expand your offering? Our speakers range across the commercial opportunities.

- Fine Art – the future?
Fine art photography is attracting increased cultural status and growing revenues. Is this an opportunity for an elite – or for all? Leading photographers and experts in the industry review the options.

Experts from across stock photography debate and reveal the opportunities and issues for those seeking to sell their work in this fast-changing industry.

- What we really want: buyers speak out
At the end of the day, what really matters is that somebody wants to see a great image… and perhaps pay for it. So what do smart buyers look for in photography – and photographers - today? Our panel gives the lowdown.

About Lewis Blackwell, seminar moderator:
Lewis Blackwell is an author and photography industry expert who has held a range of roles in media. With a background in journalism and publishing, including being the long-time Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Creative Review magazine, he went on to became a leading executive at Getty Images in fast-growth period.
He is currently Director of Strategy at Image Source, contributes as editor-at-large at PQ Blackwell, and continues to develop his own photographic projects and writings.
Among recent works is Photowisdom, a critically-acclaimed book containing in-depth original interviews with leading photographers.
