    The global theme for 2011/2012 is ‘Portraits of a City‘. The City Projects are an on going WPO programme, designed to connect enthusiastic and professional photographers with a global project. WPO only arranges workshops led by established professional photographers, such as Jez Coulson and Nick Turpin, each of whom interpret the theme with their own unique brief and style.

    World Photo São Paulo is returning to Museu da Imagem e do Som, in partnership with Sony Brazil. The month-long event offers photographers of all levels and areas of practice, the opportunity to engage in a variety of different events. At the centre of the programme and open to the public, is the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition, showcasing some of the best contemporary photography from across the globe.
