Left Space, the biggest photography studios in San Francisco, will be hosting World Photography San Francisco. Led by photographer, RJ Muna, Left Space has welcomed many photography events, workshops and shoots, making it an integral part of the San Francisco photo community. RJ Muna, the winner of hundreds of awards including the ICP Infinity Award, Lucie Award and a Clio, is also one of the 2011 Honorary Jury members for the Sony World Photography Awards and a World Photography Academy member.
The World Photography Festival will be open to all; students, amateurs, professionals and, of course, the general public with a love for photography. With a particular emphasis on the international photo scene, these four days will be packed with exhibitions, talks, workshops, live studio shoots and portfolio reviews. Led by international and local leaders of the photography industry, these events are designed to enhance photographic skills and knowledge. A dedicated student programme will encourage nation-wide participation.
Previous Festival events have been led by World Photography Academy Members including photographers Mary Ellen Mark; Elliott Erwitt; Reza; Bruce Davidson; Getty Images; Chloe Limpkin (Photo Director of Harper’s Bazaar), Scott Thode (Editor of VII Magazine); Monica Allende (Picture Editor of Sunday Times Magazine) and many more.
