Get ready to be exposed...
This year has seen one of our most exciting partnerships to date; WPO’s Student Focus programme is working with Young Tate Online and the Tate Modern exhibition Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera for the 2011 Student Focus competition. To find out more about the Student Focus programme click here.
We are pleased to be able to share with you a number of videos relating to the exhibition, offering students participating in the 2011 Student Focus competition a chance to find inspiration, and our wider audience an insight in to this groundbreaking exhibition.
Over the coming month, we will be adding one video each week to get your creative juices flowing. In the first of these videos, Sandra Phillips, Guest Curator of Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera and San Francisco MOMA's Curator of Photography, describes how contemporary artists like Sophie Calle and Benjamin Lowry have started to talk back to surveillance. Next week, we will be posting another video from Sandra on the subject of invasive looking.
