We at WPO are pleased to reveal that Lauren Pissochet's video 'Phoenix: The Girl with the Red Hair' has been voted for by the general public as the Moving Image Award - People's Choice winner.

We launched the inaugural Moving Image Award in 2011 as a new competition in the Sony World Photography Awards, and we received a wealth of entries from talented photographers and videographers. Lauren's video was amongst 8 that were shortlisted by our judges and it received the most votes. Back in April, brother team Will and Matt Burrard-Lucas received the overall Sony World Photography Awards 2011 - Moving Image Award prize for their video 'Migration', as selected by the judges. Watch the video on the WPO website.

For the Sony World Photography Awards 2012 competition, we have launched six new categories in the Moving Image Award; Commercial, Documentary, Extraordinary, Nature and Wildlife,  Fine Art and People.
