WIN TWO TICKETS TO THE SONY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS CEREMONY and a day of mentorship with leading photographers from the World Photographic Academy at the World Photography Festival in London 26 April – 1 May 2011.

photomonth and the World Photography Organisation have teamed up to create and exciting competition for young photographers to celebrate the 10th anniversary of photomonth.

This year we want young photographers to GO LOCAL and capture the people and places in their own neighbourhood. We are looking for images that will really tell us about where you live.

Five finalists will be selected and exhibited at the photomonth photofair at the World Photography Organisation stand on Saturday 9 October 2010 in the Spitalfields Traders Market, Brushfield Street E.1. 6AA. The public will be invited to vote for the winner.

All five finalists win the day of mentorship at the World Photography Festival, Somerset House and the lucky winner will also attend the Sony World Photography Awards at the famous Odeon Leicester Square.

Entrants must be 11 to 19 years old and resident in the UK.

Up to three images may be submitted per entrant.

Deadline for submission 20 September 2010.

The winner will be announced in October 2010 and travel to receive their Award in London in April 2011.

The winning entry will also be exhibited during photomonth 2010.
