The Awards Ceremony

Each year the Sony World Photography Awards discovers new talent and recognizes photographers from around the world at a glittering awards gala evening.

From true Amateurs to Students, up and coming Professionals to celebrated masters, all share the stage for one evening to be awarded by the industry veterans who have chosen them as winners.

Academy members such as photographers Tom Stoddart, Mary Ellen Mark, Elliott Erwitt, Nan Goldin and industry leaders such as Aidan Sullivan, Monica Allende, Philippe Garner, WM Hunt and dozens more, have already graced this stage in past years to support the global industry and celebrate this amazing evening of photography.

Having been held in the glamorous city of Cannes, France for the past three years, the awards are now coming to London in 2011… a very exciting move for the organisation and its vast community.
