This week we choose some of our favoriteArts and Cultureentries from the past 3 years of the Open competition of the Sony World Photography Awards. The competition is free to enter and open to all photographers.

The judges are looking to award the best single images from across the 10 diverse categories, from Architecture and Landscape to Still Life and Street Photography.

Winning & shortlisted photographers will be included in a global press campaign, featured across the World Photography Organisation website and exhibited at Somerset House, London in Spring 2017.

Sony Global Imaging Ambassador Davide Monteleone is an artist and a visual journalist working on long term independent project using photography video and text.

"The scale and dimensions was outrageous. The architecture was mind-blowing. The feeling was other-wordly. It was love at first sight."

In his work, Tobi tends to focus on geometry, symmetry and perspectives. He looks for beauty in the often gritty London streets and has an appreciation for the capital’s stunning architecture.
