Gered Mankowitz left his North London School devoid of any academic qualifications but six years later, in 1967, Gered had established himself as one of London’s leading rock photographers, working alongside stars including Marianne Faithful and the Rolling Stones. Over the past 45 years Gered has continued to work in the music business while supplying many leading magazines with celebrity portraits while finding time to take prize winning images for the advertising industry.
