"Internat Portraits" by Christopher Occhicone

Only 30 kilometers from the front lines of the war in Eastern Ukraine, the Internat in Kremennaya is home to over 100 mentally and physically handicapped orphans. The war has placed an extra burden on the staff as they must accommodate additional children from nearby separatist controlled territory. These photographs were shot with a 4x5 camera after the students' autumn pageant.
