A 76 year old female surfer, hippos fighting, a man defying gravity and more: Entries of the Week
Sony World Photography Awards 2027 opened for entries on June 1st, and the submissions coming in from around the world have already been impressive.
If you haven't entered yet, there's no better time to start. Every week, we pick up to 10 photographs from recent Single Image entries that stand out to us.
But being featured in Entries of the Week gets you more than recognition. Each photo we select goes into a monthly draw, where we choose a winner and two runners-up. 1st place wins a 50 Image Bundle, 2nd place a 20 Image Bundle, and 3rd place a 10 Image Bundle. Those are free entries you can use in the Single Image competition, giving you even more chances to win.
Once the awards cycle wraps up, all the monthly winners go head-to-head in a People's Choice Vote on Instagram. Whoever comes out on top gets their photograph displayed at the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition at Somerset House in London.
