It’s Polar Bear Week! To celebrate, we take a closer look at an extraordinary set of photographs, taken by wildlife and nature photography enthusiast, Luca Venturi. Luca was commended in the Nature & Wildlife category in the 2016 Sony World Photography Awards with his image of two polar bears fighting in the wild.
“After days of pleasant sightings, we finally succeeded in coming across a breathtaking spectacle. We met two polar bears engaged in a long fight that unfolded right in front of us. What struck me most was the dynamism of the scene: the warlike attitude of the two animals, the aggressiveness and intensity in their eyes.” - Luca Venturi
