On February 5 we unveiled the Open and Youth competition shortlists, the first two announcements from the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards. More than 326,000 images were entered across the four competitions, the highest ever number to date. To celebrate the exceptional images submitted from around the globe, we've selected the best images of or relating to architecture in the Open and Youth shortlists. The Open category winners will be announced February 26, the Youth winner will be revealed April 17 2019.
