As the days get brighter and longer and the sky gets a slightly bluer shade of grey, it always feels like the ticket sale for the Sony World Photography Awards at Somerset House gets announced the moment London retires its winter garb. And just like that, it's time to start planning your April and your visit to the landmark exhibition of the world’s leading photography competition!

Returning from 17 April - 4 May, this must-see exhibition features the very best images from the past year across the West and East Wings of Somerset House as well as an immersive, mixed-media display of Joel Meyerowitz's iconic imagery in the East Wing.

This is a truly unique opportunity - nowhere else will you find all the winning and shortlisted images under one roof! Expect the full breadth of the current photography landscape across a variety of genres, themes and styles.

A pioneer of colour, street photography icon and this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Photography, Joel Meyerowitz's photographs, videos and soundscapes will transport you to the streets of Europe and beyond.

An exclusive artist talk will take place on 21 April at Logan Hall, so don’t miss out on a unique combo ticket granting entry to both the talk and the exhibition, available at a special Early Bird price until 5 March. This is a rare chance to hear Meyerowitz discuss his work and career, moderated by acclaimed journalist and broadcaster John Wilson. Spaces are limited and tickets are already selling quickly.

If you fancy some cultural enrichment of the culinary kind, make a day of it with our delightful selection of hospitality offers at local restaurants and cafes - and even the Strand Palace hotel for those wanting to treat themselves or travelling from outside London.

As always, our exhibition bookshop will stock merchandise you can’t wait to bring home: from the 2026 collectible book (featuring even more pages and photographers this year!) to our 100% cotton tote bags.

With over 300 images from around the world on show, and countless stories to discover, we invite you to take part in the medium’s unmissable annual moment.

Early Bird tickets are selling fast! Book now to save 20% on your visit. The offer expires on 5 March.
