Series description

A set of ten images, taken between 2020-2021, covering a variety of topics: immigration along the US-Mexico border (including a drone image of a migrant camp in Del Rio), the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, fires on the West Coast, a devastating tornado that ripped through Kentucky, a Black Lives Matter protest after the death of George Floyd, and a prison in Honduras.

Biography

Adrees Latif is a Pakistani-American photojournalist with a career spanning over three decades of covering sports, entertainment, civil conflict, natural disasters and documentary projects. In 26 years with Reuters, Latif's work has been recognized twice with a Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Photography. Other professional achievements include POYi.org's Photographer of the Year and ICP's Infinity Award. Adrees is currently based in Houston as Enterprise Editor, Reuters Pictures, from where he focuses on coverage of global stories and editing packages.
