This is my humble tribute to the meringue – protagonist of the most beautiful pastry creations. Its pearly texture and infinite possibilities make it worthy of an important place in the kitchen and in my heart. This series was taken at my studio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in December 2022. I'm Magali Polverino, food and still life photographer. I'm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love light and shadow equally. I also love colors. They are my creative tools when composing an image. I like to play with the blend of lights creating a meeting point between artificial and natural light. In each photo I seek to create scenes. I like each image to tell a story. I want my photos to generate emotions. Images that are devoured with the eyes.
