Look up to the Sky
Amy Gajjar
Series description

We have a tendency to focus on the negativity and mundanity in our lives, but if we look up at the sky and its vast beauty, our worries can quickly dissipate. This series showcases the rapidly changing cloud patterns juxtaposed against locales that form the backdrop to our daily lives. Just like the sky, our lives will always change rapidly, but no matter what the weather is, the sky remains a beacon of hope. It is a reminder that when we look up we can romanticise our lives, even if just for a moment. It is a touch of magic within the mundane.

Biography

My name is Amy Gajjar. I grew up in the small town of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In 2021, I relocated to the sunny city of Cape Town to pursue my tertiary studies. I am currently a third year studying a BA in Visual Communications at Red and Yellow: Creative School of Business. I am a graphic designer, illustrator and digital designer. As far as I can remember, photography has always been one of my passions. I fondly remember getting my first camera at the age of 7 and the rest was history. I love capturing the beauty in everything and telling a story with my photos.
