Expressions of Worship
Mary Ashokeji
Series description

As a Christian, my response to change – whether it is good or bad – comes through prayer, praise and worship. There is a story in the bible about a woman who had been used and abused, but she still believed and found light. This caused her to bring the most valuable thing she owned and pour it out in an expression of love and worship. In a single moment she went through fear, prejudice, and shame and created one of the most intimate moments of worship in the Bible. There are many different ways you can express yourself in worship, but I wanted to hone in on the physical expression and reveal its intimacy, taking these images at my local church and worship event.
