An Atypical Chinese Landscape

Series description

These scenes and objects – the result of human production and labour processes serving human survival and life – are now left on the earth and have become the landscape. Some of these landscapes have become construction waste, destroying the living environment and becoming permanent scars.

Biography

Li Fan is a professor of Shaanxi Normal University, dean of Institute of Silk Road Photographic Art, and vice chairman of Shaanxi Photographers Association, and has won the China Photography Golden Image Award, the Gold Medal of the National Photography Art Exhibition, the first prize of the professional category of the 2015 and 2023 Sony World Photography Awards and the first prize of the China Region of the National Geographic Photo Contest.
