Series description
This series depicts Alberta, Canada, in May 2023, as various wildfires struck the area. Smoke from these fires wafted to America and beyond, sparking numerous angry articles about Canada’s fire season.
Biography
Jen Osborne (1984) is a Canadian photographer who has published and exhibited photographs internationally. Her career started in 2007 with a yearlong work contract at Fabrica’s COLORS Magazine. Since then, her work has graced the pages of Stern, The New York Times, The Sunday Times, Mother Jones, Vice and Vanity Fair Italy, to name a few. Jen has also shown at venues including Visa pour l’Image, Athens Photo Festival 2020, Aperture Gallery, The Museum de l’Elysée and Arles 2010.
