Canadian based photographer Jamal Burger shifts his focus between the city and sport with his work. Since 2014, Jamal has worked with acclaimed brands such as Jordan, Nike, Apple and more.

The shortlisted (top 10) and commended (top 50) photographers for all categories of the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards have been announced today. 

"I try to focus on the most important parts of the image while removing everything that is not important. Also having a graphics background really helps."

In this ongoing project, Emily Schiffer combines images taken of her family over the past eight years to form new narratives about intimacy and silence, youth and aging, unresolved relationships, and love.

Applications are now open for the fourth edition of PHOTOFAIRS | Shanghai; Asia-Pacific's leading international art fair dedicated to photography. The 2016 edition brought together 50 galleries from 15 countries and 24 cities, making it the most international edition to date.
