Since the 9th February we've been showcasing some of our favourite images from this year's National & Regional Awards. From Bulgaria to Vietnam, we're celebrating local photographic talent from 51 countries through the 2021 programme. Selected from entries to the Open competition, the National Award winners are given Sony digital imaging kit plus global and local exposure. Well done to all of those awarded!
In the last of this mini series where we look at all the different camera techniques and genres seen in this year's winning images, we take a look at the best images of the natural world and the wildlife that live in it. Compositions showing the spirit and behaviour of wildlife around the planet went far in this year's National & Regional Awards. Macro and close-up photographs of the plants and insects that often go unnoticed were also welcomed this year.
