David Tay Poey Cher, a publishing consultant, has been in the media industry for 27 years. He was the chief executive officer of a leading magazine company which owns more than 80 titles covering fashion, lifestyle, home décor, health, etc. Besides publishing, David has also been very involved in the arts, particularly in photographic art. He was awarded the Cultural Medallion (Singapore’s apex arts award) in 1982, and has been president of The Photographic Society of Singapore since 1990.  In 2008, he became the first Asian ever to be elected to the Directory Board of the International Federation of Photographic Art. David likes outdoor portraiture and landscapes, for which he has won many awards and recognition, including The Royal Photographic Society’s fellowship.
