Hal (Harold) Gage. American Artist. b.1959. Formally studied drawing, painting, and photography at University of Alaska Anchorage. Gage’s photographic and mixed media artworks have been exhibited extensively in Alaska, the contiguous United States, and in England, Europe, Russia, and the Far East. His images are in such collections as: Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center, Alaska; Alaska State Museum, Juneau, Alaska; on permeant display at the University of Alaska Museum of the North, Fairbanks, Alaska; and is in the permanent collection of the Houston Museum of Art, Texas. Among other distinctions, Gage has been twice honored with a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Fellowship, and the Sony World Photography Award in Landscape in 2019.
