2018 Sony World Photography Awards - Category Winner, Portraiture, Open Competition
Winning The Sony World Photography Award for Portraiture out of 170,000 entrants and the National Award for the UK opened avenues for me and spurred on to more personal projects.
I’ve been an advertising photographer shooting in London for over 30 years and through various commissions in advertising, I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite extensively and have worked on campaigns for many of the best known brands in the world.
Teaming up with some fantastic art directors on great projects is one of the special aspects of being a photographer. I have also had images selected for awards including AOP, PDN, Graphis and several others. These have been for personal work as well as commissions. It sounds cliched but I really 'am happiest when lost in the world of ‘seeing’ pictures.
