Tommaso Bonaventura (Rome, 1969) studied Art History at La Sapienza University and Visual Arts at the European Institute of Design in Rome. Since 1991, he has been dedicated to long-term projects and explorations at the intersection of photography and text. His work has been featured internationally, and prizes include World Press Photo and the Sony Photography award. He is a regular contributor to various publications around the world, including “M” Le Monde’s weekly magazine, Vanity Fair, L’Espresso, Stern and IO Donna. His photographs have been exhibited at galleries, festivals and museums including Biennale di Architettura in Venice, MAXXI – Museo nazionale della arti del XXI secolo in Rome and PAC – Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan.
Bonaventura currently lives between France and Italy, where he also teaches photography, both university lectures and professional workshops.
