2018 Sony World Photography Awards - 2nd Place, Discovery, Professional Competition
Antonio Gibotta was born in Naples. He has exhibited in New York, France, China, Brussels, Italy. He was ranked 2nd place in the Press category of PX3 in Paris. He was awarded 1st place in the Reportage category in "Eté des portraits". In 2014, National Geographic included one his photographs in the book "Stunning Photographs." At the FIOF International Photography Awards, he was rewarded winner of FIIPA. In 2016, Antonio won 3rd place in the POY Picture of the Year's International Feature Picture Story category. Also in 2016, one of Antonio's stories was one of 21 multimedia stories exhibited at the 5th LUMIX Festival for Young Photojournalism in Germany. In February 2017, he won second place at the World Press Photo in the People category and was also the winner of MAGNUM PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS and SIPA Siena International Photography Awards. Other awards include: Silver 2017 Press / Feature Story at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, FIOF International Photography Absolute Winner Awards, 2018 Sony World Photography Awards, professional competition 2nd place Discovery category.
