Jonathan’s practice adopts the form of photography, however his recent shift in process has pushed his work into a context that no longer resembles traditional photographic methods. Through shifting the visual characteristics of painting onto that of the photographic medium, Jonathan enables an amalgamation of both autonomy and control in the way that he is able to treat his images. Each structure is reduced to its skeletal configuration, the vessel upon which his minimalist interpretation is carried.
